Amaranth porridge with prunes and nuts
Amaranth seeds - 250 g
Water - 500 ml
Prunes - 200 g
Raisins - 50 g
Walnuts - 50 g
Butter - 2 tbsp.
Sugar or honey if desired
Seeds of amaranth should be washed and soaked for about three hours. Place seeds of amaranth in the boiling salted water, cook at a low heat for about 20 minutes. Add the previously washed and chopped prunes and cook for another 10-15 minutes. 5 minutes before the readiness to add washed raisins, crushed nuts and honey (or sugar), if desired.
